Bookbinding

If you're looking for a new journal, sketchbook, gift, or looking to have some specialty books created for your organization, employees' holiday gift, wedding guestbook, etc, look no further! I would love to work with you to make your handbound book dreams come true. There are also a number of handbound books available for purchase on my shop page!

Here are some of things to consider as you approach your bookbinding project (and as always, feel free to reach out to me via lyz@pranksterpress.com with your project ideas and questions). These variables will affect the cost of your project, but estimates are free!

  • Type of Binding

    • I can recommend the type of binding that would best suit your project, or you can take a look at the bookbinding examples in our portfolio. There are a variety of hand-sewn options as well as the perfect-bound option, in which the pages are glued rather than sewn.

  • Cover Decoration

    • I can print custom imagery for the covers of your books, or use decorative papers of your choice

    • You will need to decide whether you want cloth, leather, cardstock, hardcover, or some other material for your book cover

  • Interior Paper

    • Blank paper offers the most options in terms of texture, thickness, and color. Lined paper is possible depending on the type of binding that you choose.

Take a look at more in depth photos of past bookbinding projects in my portfolio to get a more ideas!
